SELF-Ex is a guide to manage adversity responsibly and confidently. I co-authored the guide with my mother to help anyone manage a variety of sticky situations with integrity. It was awarded a top educational solution by the USC EDGE Center in 2021.
My book tells a generational story of purpose, resilience, and self-discovery from my perspective and my mother’s. It demonstrates how my mother came to transform obstacles into opportunities, and how she’s impacted me to do the same.
My strong Jewish identity pairs with the central Jewish principle, Tikkun Olam: repair oneself to repair the world. It drives me to educate people around the world about Jewish life and Israel, and most importantly, combat anti-Semitism.
Since visiting Yad Vashem in Jerusalem as a part of my Bat Mitzvah project, I’ve been fascinated by the subject ever since. I have travelled around the world and interviewed survivors to deepen my knowledge so I could create educational projects.
